Pay attention to the equipment used here because if the Pros at an NBA arena use this equipment, you should too.

The outer Security Screening Barrier pictured above consists of Thin Line Retractable Belt Stanchions similar to these.  The belts on these stanchions will typically extend to approximately 10 feet and can be used to configure any barrier shape required.  An important difference between Premium Retractable Belt Stanchions used at professional facilities like Conseco Fieldhouse and Economy Retractable Belt Stanchions is that the base weights in equipment like this are cast iron instead of aluminum filled with concrete.  The cast iron base weight extends the life of the product as it is much more durable and reduces the potential for "leaning" posts.

Beyond the Security Screening Barrier, is the Ticket Usher Entrance.  Premium Polished or Satin Chrome Conventional Rope Stanchions are combined with differing lengths of Black Velour Rope (most likely 1.5" diameter and a solid cotton core) with Polished or Satin Chrome Snap Ends to manage event attendees as they present their tickets to the event.  Premium Conventional Rope Stanchions are produced with stronger metal than Economy Conventional Rope Stanchions and also include a cast iron base weight as opposed to concrete filled aluminum.  Premium Velour Rope sets itself apart from Economy Velour Rope in two ways: diameter and composition.  Premium Velour Rope will be 1.5" thick diameter and contain a strong, solid cotton core whereas Economy Ropes are typically 1" thick and are made with a foam core.  Cotton core ropes "drape" much more attractively and hold up to wear and tear much longer than foam core ropes.
