Fedex Forum vs Honda Center 2014 Arena Bracket Challenge
#4 Seed FedEx Forum and #5 Seed Honda Center square off in Elite 8 round of Pro Stanchions 2014 Arena Bracket Challenge
Fedex Forum in Memphis, Tennessee seats 18,119 and is home to both the NBA Memphis Grizzlies and NCAA Memphis Tigers Men's Basketball teams. The arena played host to the NCAA March Madness tournament South Regional games in 2009 and was the first NBA arena to implement the use of the "see through" shot clock. The new technology allowed for spectators positioned behind the shot clock to have an unobstructed view of gameplay. The "see-through" shot clock is now widely used throughout NBA stadiums.
The 18,336 seat Honda Center is home to the NHL Anaheim Ducks and the soon to be Los Angeles Kiss of the Arena Football League. The arena has played host the NCAA March Madness tournament five times in the past as the site of the West Regional games in 1998, 2001, 2003, 2008 and 2011. In 1999 Honda Center hosted the Frozen Four championships of the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey tournament. It has played host to the NHL Stanley Cup finals twice in 2003 and 2007 and fans attending those games have never witnessed the Anaheim Ducks lose a Stanley Cup finals game as they are undefeated in the arena during those games.
